OSU Cheer and STUNT set to travel to Nashville for National Championship
April 21, 2025 | General
The Basics
The Oklahoma State cheer program travels to Nashville, Tennessee for the 2025 College STUNT National Championship taking place April 24-27. The team is made up primarily of the All-Girl cheer team, but female members of the Large Co-Ed team participate as well. The STUNT team will compete in the Club division to defend its 2024 National Championship.
Â
How to Watch
The 2025 STUNT College Nationals will be live streamed on FloCheer. The Championship games are split between two locations - Trevecca Nazarene and Lipscomb University. The schedule and locations can be found here.
Â
What is STUNT?
STUNT focuses on the technical and athletic components of cheer. All elements are put together in short routines that are performed head-to-head. A STUNT match consists of four quarters - partner stunts, pyramids & tosses, jumps & tumbling and team routine - the team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Â
Bracket Structure
Oklahoma State was invited to Nationals along with five other colleges including Michigan State, Cal Poly, Alma College, Arizona State and Central Michigan. With Oklahoma State ranked No.1, the team will have no games on the first day of play. OSU will play the winner of game one - Cal Poly vs. Arizona State. The tournament itself is double-elimination with the championship game at 2:45 p.m. CT on April 27.
Â
National Championships
Oklahoma State has nine STUNT national championships all-time, including eight in a row from 2014-22, excluding the 2020 COVID-canceled event. In 2023, the Cowgirls lost in the championship match to Cal Poly during a tiebreaker round but avenged that defeat to win the title in 2024.
