Cowboy Golf Finishes Third At Pauma Valley Invitational

PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 276 during its third round at the Pauma Valley Invitational on Tuesday to finish in third place at Pauma Valley Country Club,
For the fifth-ranked Cowboys, they now have two victories, two runner-up finishes and a third-place showing in their last five outings. OSU finished at 841, while LSU won the tournament with an 825 total and Texas was second with its 835 score at the par-71, 7,311-yard layout.
UT's Christiaan Maas claimed medalist honors with his 204 total.
OSU's Ethan Fang racked up another top-10 finish, claiming sole possession of sixth place at 6-under 207 after closing with a 67. The sophomore alternated birdies and pars over holes 2-5 before making the turn at even-par 36. Fang would par the 10th before posting birdies at the 11th, 12th and 14th. He would add another at the 17th to get to his 4-under score for the day.
Fang has now finished in the top 10 in each of his seven starts as a Cowboy and narrowly missed recording his fifth top-five showing of the year.
Joining his classmate in the top 10 was sophomore Eric Lee, who tied for seventh place at 208 after carding a 67 over his final round as well. Lee has now finished in the top 10 in two of his last three starts.
Sophomore Preston Stout shared 23rd place at even-par 213 after closing with a 69.
Freshman Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson posted his second consecutive 73 to finish at 216 and tied for 33rd place.
Sophomore Gaven Lane rounded out the lineup with a 76 to stand in a tie for 39th place at 217.
Junior John Wild competed individually and tied for 69th place after closing with a 76.
