Cowboy Golf Second After Day One At Pauma Valley

PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team stood in second place during the second round of play at the Pauma Valley Invitational when play was halted due to darkness at Pauma Valley Country Club,
The fifth-ranked Cowboys posted a 5-under 279 to open play to stand in a tie for fourth place, five shots off the lead held by LSU and Tennessee. OSU has four holes remaining in its second round at the par-71, 7,311-yard layout and stands at 7-under and seven strokes behind LSU.
Sophomore transfers Ethan Fang and Eric Lee each posted opening 69s to finish among the group tied for 11th place. Texas Tech's Calum Scott fired an opening 64 to lead by three through the first 18 holes.
Freshman Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson's opening 70 tied him for 22nd place.
Sophomore Gaven Lane carded a 71 to stand in a tie for 32nd place through the opening round. He was joined at even par with sophomore Preston Stout.
Junior John Wild is competing individually at the event and opened with a 71. Round two will resume at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow morning, with the final round beginning with a repairing shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
