Fouad Messaoudi named Big 12 Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week following performance at Razorback Invitational

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State distance runner Fouad Messaoudi was named Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Men's Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Razorback Invitational, the conference announced Wednesday.
Messaoudi scorched the track in Fayetteville, Ark., becoming the eighth-fastest man in NCAA History in the Mile with his time of 3:52.66. In the race, he also broke the school record as he upended an impressive field that included several All-Americans and multiple national champions.
The two-time NCAA champion earned his second career Big 12 Athlete of the Week honor and is the fifth Cowboy in program history to receive the award. His previous honor came after breaking the school record at the time in the 3,000 Meters with his mark of 7:41.63 The other Cowboy Big 12 Indoor Athlete of the Week award winners are below:
