Cowboys Finish 10th At Fighting Irish Classic

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed with a 293 during the third round of action at the Fighting Irish Classic on Tuesday to tie for 10th place at Notre Dame's Warren Course.
OSU finished with an 863 total to finish the event tied with Indiana at the par-70, 7,023-yard layout. UCLA posted a 7-under tally of 833 to win the event.
The Cowboys competed without three of their top performers as All-Americans Ethan Fang and Preston Stout as well as Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson are all in Singapore set to compete at the World Amateur Team Championships. Fang and Stout are representing the United States and Fahlberg-Johnsson is competing for Sweden.
Redshirt freshman Brady Catalano posted a top-20 finish, tying for 18th place at 212. Catalano entered the day tied for second place after firing rounds of 65 and 70 on Monday. He would close with a 77 to get to his 2-over total for the event.
After opening with a pair of 72s, junior Gaven Lane finished with a 73 to share 39th place at 217.
Junior Eric Lee posted a closing 71 to move up 14 spots into a tie for 41st place at 218.
Redshirt freshman Collin Bond closed with a 72 to get in with a 220 total and tied for 56th place, while senior John Wild tied for 72nd place at 227 after signing for a 77 on Tuesday.
