STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team has added former California standout Eric Lee to its roster it was announced today by Cowboy head coach Alan Bratton.
"Eric is a good ball hitter. He has already won a college tournament and knows what it takes to play at the highest level," Bratton said. "Despite his youth, he is already a seasoned veteran and will fit in very well with our guys."
Lee is the second Cal transfer to land in Stillwater as he joins fellow rising sophomore Ethan Fang as the newest members of the OSU program.
As a freshman for the Golden Bears, Lee competed in 12 events. The Fullerton, Calif., native won his debut, firing a 3-under 213 total at the Marquette Intercollegiate. He would go on to post top-15 showings in his next two starts as well.
After finishing 13th at the Western Intercollegiate, Lee tied for 13th place at the Pac-12 Championship before tying for seventh place at the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional. He finished the year with a 71.91 stroke average.
Lee received Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honorable mention honors and was named the league's golfer of the week in September.
In 2022, Lee was named the AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year after winning the Rolex Tournament of Champions and was twice named an AJGA First-Team All-American, receiving the honor in 2021 and 2022. Additionally, he reached the semifinals at the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur.
