Cowboy Golf Headed To California For NCAA Regional Action

INDIANAPOLIS – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will begin its quest for a 12th NCAA title with a trip to the West Coast it was revealed today with the announcement of the participants for the regional rounds of the 2024 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships by the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Committee.
The Cowboys will compete as the No. 5 seed in the 14-team regional at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 13-15. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The top five teams and low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 24-29 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
OSU leads the nation with 16 regional titles, seven more than the second-best total. The Cowboys have won seven regional titles in nine tries under the direction of head coach Alan Bratton, including a run of six consecutive from 2016-22.
Two years ago, Eugenio Chacarra wrapped up medalist honors at the NCAA Columbus Regional to become the 12th Cowboy to do so.
Overall, the Cowboys have qualified for the NCAA Championship in 74 of a possible 76 seasons.
