Cowboy and Cowgirl Track & Field Complete First Tri-Meet Weekend of Season

PALO ALTO, Calif. – Oklahoma State track & field wrapped up its first split weekend of the season with several more impressive performances in addition to Friday's success.
At the Shocker Spring Invite in Wichita, Kan., OSU swept the Long Jump competitions as Blair Anderson and Katie Chapman took home their first individual victories of the season. Bailey Golden also picked up an event victory in the 100 Meter Hurdles with her time of 13.95.
Out in California at the Stanford Invitational, Cameron McConnell won her section of the 800 Meters with a personal-best time of 2:08.05. Kaylie Politza dropped the fastest time of the day for the Cowgirls with her outdoor personal best of 2:07.61.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will once again split up next weekend, with the multi-event athletes competing in their first full multis of the season at the Jim Click Shootout in Arizona April 4-5. The rest of the team will head to Arkansas to compete in the Arkansas Spring Invitational on April 6.
