October 01, 2024 | General
STILLWATER – Country music stars Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours will co-headline a live show at Boone Pickens Stadium on April 12.
Also featured are The Great Divide, Jason Boland and The Stragglers and Stoney LaRue.
It is the first concert in the on-campus home of Oklahoma State football since the venue's grand opening in 2009. The show benefits OSU's Name, Image and Likeness efforts.
One of the most influential indie country rock bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Stillwater-based Cross Canadian Ragweed disbanded in 2010. This show marks the band's much-anticipated reunion. The Tahlequah, Oklahoma, based Turnpike Troubadours have resided at the very forefront of the Red Dirt music scene since their 2005 debut and have earned a spot in the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
Ticket pre-sales start at 10 a.m. CT on October 7. General public tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. CT October 11 and can be purchased at www.okstate.com/concert. Fans can sign up to get a pre-sale password at www.theboysfromoklahoma.com from October 1-5.
"We are excited to bring the first-ever concert to Boone Pickens Stadium this spring and look forward to hosting this fantastic Oklahoma-based lineup in the home of the Cowboys," OSU Athletic Director Chad Weiberg said. "We are grateful to the team at DMG for helping make this happen. This show will benefit OSU's NIL efforts but will also be a great event for our student-athletes, student body, alumni, fans and the community of Stillwater."
