OSU Track & Field and Cross Country Announces Former Cowgirl All-American Taylor Somers as Assistant Distance Coach

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State track & field and cross country has added former cross country All-American Taylor Somers to its staff as an assistant distance coach, it was announced today by Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Dave Smith.
Somers ran for Oklahoma State from 2018-23 and was an All-American on the grass for the Cowgirls in 2019, placing 18th overall at the 2019 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. She was also a six-time All-Big 12 honoree for OSU. Somers joins a women's cross country and track & field staff that includes fellow alumna Anna Thorp, who competed for OSU from 2013-17.
"I feel so privileged to have been able to watch both the men's and women's teams grow and improve throughout the last six years as an athlete," Somers said. "I'm so excited to continue to chase big goals with the program as a coach."
