Cowboys Fourth At Big 12 Championship Heading Into Final Round

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – After carding a 290 during its third round, at the Big 12 Championship Oklahoma State's men's golf team dipped into fourth place on Tuesday at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
The Cowboys stand at 16-over 856 and four shots behind Texas at the par-70, 7,025-yard layout. Texas Tech moved into second place at 849, while Oklahoma and its 838 total will take the lead into the final day of action on Wednesday.
Tech's Ludvig Aberg surged into the individual lead after firing a 7-under 63 to stand at 14-under 196.
OSU's Jonas Baumgartner grabbed sole possession of second place at 203 after carding a 72 during his third round.
The low round of the day for the Cowboys came from fifth year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen, who posted a 71 to get in with a 213 total and tied for eighth place. Neergaard-Petersen's day included a 3-under 32 on his outward nine with a birdie at the third and an eagle at the par-5 seventh.
Fifth year Leo Oyo remained in a tie for 23rd place after carding a 72 to stand at 9-over 219.
Junior Bo Jin posted a 75 during his third round to finish the day in a tie for 37th place at 225.
Senior Hazen Newman carded his second consecutive 76 to finish at 230 and tied for 44th place.
