Cowboys Finish Fourth At The Thunderbird

Final Results
PHOENIX – Oklahoma State's men's golf team earned its third consecutive top-five finish after a fourth-place showing at the Thunderbird Collegiate on Saturday at Papago Golf Course.
The Cowboys carded a closing round of 281, 3-under par, at the par-71, 7,503-yard layout to finish three shots off the pace of North Carolina for third place. OSU finished with a 17-under total of 835.
Arizona State clipped Arizona by a stroke, winning the event with an 824 tally.
ASU's Preston Summerhays closed with a 66 to finish at 13-under 200 en route to a four-shot victory.
Fifth year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen climbed 12 spots into a tie for 12th place at 209 after signing for a 68.
Joining Neergaard-Petersen at 4-under was junior Bo Jin, who closed with a 72 to get to his 209 total.
Junior Jonas Baumgartner moved into a tie for 20th place at 211 after posting a third-round 70.
Senior Hazen Newman's 71 also put him among the group at 211.
Fifth year Leo Oyo tied for 41st place at 215 with a closing 73.
Dillon Stewart led a quartet of Cowboys competing individually. The senior finished at 215 as well with a final round of 74.
Senior Rayhan Thomas shared 57th place at 220 after closing with a 72.
Sophomore Jordan Wilson and freshman John Wild were among the group tied for 63rd place at 221 after carding rounds of 75 and 80, respectively.
The Cowboys will be back in action on Monday when they begin play at the Mountaineer Invitational in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
