Final Results
LOS CABOS, Mexico – Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed action at the Cabo Collegiate on Tuesday with a 292 to finish tied for 11th place at Twin Dolphin Club.
OSU finished with a 54-hole total of 878 to tie Tennessee at the par-71, 7,156-yard layout. Vanderbilt cruised to a 12-shot victory, finishing at 834.
Vandy also produced the event's individual champion in Wells Williams, who finished five shots clear of the field at 10-under 203.
A pair of Cowboys finished tied for 38th place with junior Bo Jin and fifth year Leo Oyo both tallying 220 totals. Jin closed with a 75, while Oyo posted a 72 on Tuesday.
Sophomore Jordan Wilson finished with a 76 to tie for 44th place at 222.
Junior Jonas Baumgartner tied for 51st place at 224 with a closing 77.
Senior Dillon Stewart fired the squad's low round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 69. Stewart subbed into the lineup for the second round after fifth year Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen suffered an injury prior to the start of the tournament.
Stewart's third round started with a par at the 14th hole before before carding his first birdie of the day at the 15th. After a bogey at the first, Stewart moved back to even with a birdie at the fifth. He bogeyed the sixth before bouncing back with another birdie at the seventh. He would close his day with birdies at the 12th and 13th.
OSU will be back in action on March 17 when it begins play at the N.I.T. in Tucson, Ariz.
