Cowboys Head Into Final Day At Haskins Invite In Second Place

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team wrapped up the first day of action at the Haskins Invitational in second place at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Cowboys opened with a 12-under 276 at the par-72, 7,086-yard layout to stand four shots out of the lead held by Texas. OSU followed with a 278 during its afternoon round to stand at 22-under 554 through 36 holes. The Longhorns hold the top spot on the leaderboard at 538.
UT's Parker and Pierceson Coody posted matching 133 totals to share the individual lead.
OSU's Eugenio Chacarra opened with a 65 before following with a 70 to stand at 9-under 135 and two shots off the pace and in third place. During his morning round, Chacarra opened with a bogey before moving back to level par with a birdie at the sixth. He turned in 2-under 34 after carding an eagle at the ninth. The senior caught fire on the back nine, tallying six birdies to come home in 31.
Senior Aman Gupta followed an opening 71 with a 65 of his own to move into a tie for fifth place at 136. His 7-under round included seven birdies against no bogeys, including a 4-under inward nine.
Sophomore Bo Jin signed for rounds of 68 and 71 to stand at 139 and tied for 11th place.
Junior Rayhan Thomas and senior Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen shared 34th place at 146. Thomas posted rounds of 74 and 72, while Neergaard-Petersen signed for scores of 72 and 74.
The Cowboys will begin their final round tomorrow at 10 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with Texas and Notre Dame.
