The team selection for the large co-ed team is a two-part process this year: video submission of skills followed by an invite-only live team selection. The due date for everything to be submitted is Sunday, April 27th by 11:59 pm to receive an invitation to the live portion. In-person evaluations are scheduled for Friday, May 2nd, Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th. Instructions for video submissions and other team selection procedures are listed below. The links below are for selection of the large-coed team only.
Steps to complete the video process to possibly receive an invitation to the live portion:
1. Apply and be admitted to Oklahoma State University or NOC-Stillwater. Participants will have to show proof of acceptance for their videos to be considered.
2. Complete the tryout application form using the following link: Cheer Team Application form
3. Submit your proof of acceptance. This can include any of the following items:
- email stating you have been admitted,
- printed letter stating you have been admitted,
- scanned copy of your OSU ID card,
- or other document indicating you are admitted student for Fall 2025.
Use this link: Dropbox for Proof of Acceptance
4. Submit a video (or videos) of your skills. The required skills are listed in the gray box to the right. Use the following link to submit your skills videos: Skills Videos
5. Submit a full body photo in the traditional tryout apparel. You should present a “gameday appearance” in the photo.
- Ladies trying out for large coed: sports bra and spankies
- Gentlemen: t-shirt and athletic shorts
6. Upon submission of your items, Coach Lindsay “Salli” Bracken will email everyone indicating if you are selected for the live selection process.
Notes about the videos
- If you are unable to get videos of the exact skills listed due to availability of partners or facilities near you, please submit skills that demonstrate a similar skill (i.e. you can’t get a flipping dismount so you submit a twisting dismount instead).
- Tumbling videos should include skills only performed on non-spring floor.
- If you are trying out for large co-ed, the stunts you include in your video should be partner stunting videos. This means 1 base and 1 flyer.
- If you are a male that has very strong tumbling (specialty running and standing tumbling passes ending in at least a full), but are not very strong in stunting, please show game day stunts. These would include skills such as: walk up extension, toss extension hands lib, toss extension hands stretch, hand awesome, toss target pull lib, toss lib, etc.
- If you are not able to safely perform a skill, please do not include it on your video.
Live Team Selection Portion
Friday, May 2nd – 5 to 9 pm
Saturday, May 3rd – noon to 9 pm
Sunday, May 4th – 9 am to 4 pm (team meeting to follow team announcement)
After applications and videos are reviewed by the coaching staff, individuals will receive emails notifying them if they have been invited to the live portion of the team selection or not. Additional instructions regarding the live portion of the team selection process will be included in the email sent.
