Cowboys Finish Second At Gators Invite

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team closed with a 5-under 275 on Sunday to finish in second place at the 45th annual VyStar Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The Cowboys finished with a 54-hole total of 824, 16-under par, at the par-70, 6,701-yard layout. Tournament host Florida finished at 28-under 812 to win the event, while South Florida was third at 838.
Florida's Fred Biondi posted a 196 total to claim medalist honors.
The Cowboys had a pair of players earn top-five finishes with Eugenio Chacarra closing with a 65 to finish tied for third place at 202. Chacarra, who earned his first win as a Cowboy in OSU's spring opener in Hawaii, posted eight birdies during his final round on Sunday to secure his spot among the top five.
Junior Rayhan Thomas earned his second consecutive top five, tying for fifth place at 205. Thomas recorded pars on his first 16 holes before a birdie-par finish to shoot 1-under 69 during his third round.
Junior Brian Stark fired his low round of the event, a 67, to gain sole possession of 18th place at 210.
Sophomore Bo Jin closed with a round of 74 to finish tied for 19th place at 211.
Senior Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen also signed for a 74 on Sunday, giving him a 213 total and tying him for 28th place.
Freshman Jordan Wilson competed individually and tied for 38th place after tallying a 72 during his third round for a 215 total.
