Cowboys Second After 36 Holes In Florida

Day 1 Results
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 36-hole total of 549 on Saturday to stand in second place at the 45th annual VyStar Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The Cowboys' 11-under total put them 13 shots off the pace of tournament host Florida at the par-70, 6,701-yard layout. OSU opened with a 278 on Saturday morning before carding a 9-under 271 during its afternoon round. South Florida stands in third place at 556.
Junior Rayhan Thomas led the way for OSU, firing rounds of 67 and 69 to share fourth place at 136.
A Cowboy duo joined Thomas in the top five, finishing the day tied for fifth place were senior Eugenio Chacarra and sophomore Bo Jin, who each carded 137 totals.
Chacarra posted rounds of 68 and 69, while Jin followed an opening 70 with a 67.
Senior Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen rallied after an opening 73 with a 66 during his afternoon round to get in with a 139 total and tied for 18th place.
Junior Brian Stark rounded out the OSU lineup with scores of 74 and 69 to finish at 143 to stand in a tie for 37th place.
Freshman Jordan WIlson is competing individually and signed for scores of 73 and 70 to finish among the group at 143.
