Eugenio Chacarra Named To Final Haskins Award Watch List

STILLWATER– Oklahoma State's Eugenio Chacarra was named to the final Haskins Award Watch List as released by Golf Channel and Golfweek.
The Haskins Award is presented annually to the year's outstanding college player.
In his first season with the Cowboys after transferring from Wake Forest, Chacarra is currently ranked ninth by Golfstat and stands at No. 11 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking.
A native of Madrid, Spain, Chacarra has helped the Cowboys to five team titles this year, including back-to-back wins most recently at the Big 12 Championship and the NCAA Stillwater Regional.
Individually, he has a pair of runner-up finishes to his credit, placing second at the Timuquana Collegiate and the N.I.T. Chacarra also finished third at the Seminole Intercollegiate as well as the Haskins Award Invitational and the aforementioned regional at Karsten Creek. He logged top 10s at the George Hannon Collegiate and the Big 12 Championship as well.
Voting for the award will conclude on May 31 after the completion of stroke play at the NCAA Championship. The three finalists will be recognized by Golf Channel on June 1 with the recipient of the award being named as well.
