FORT SMITH, Ark. — Former Oklahoma State standout Sam Stevens collected his second victory of the season on the All Pro Tour, claiming the United Way Charity Classic on Saturday at Hardscrabble Country Club.
Stevens posted rounds of 68, 64, 63 and 64 to finish with a 21-under-par total of 259 and four shots clear of the field. With the victory, he claimed the $35,000 winner's check.
In addition to his two victories, Stevens has a runner-up and eighth-place showing in six starts on the Tour. He stands atop the money list at $73,063.75.
With the win, former Cowboys have now claimed four of the Tour's seven events.
On June 5, Zach Bauchou outlasted Stevens to win the Fore the Kids event in Brownwood, Texas. Three weeks later, Stevens won in a playoff at the Cooper Communities NWA Charity Classic in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Last month Brendon Jelley defeated Bauchou in a playoff to win the Victoria Open
