Cowboy Baseball Excels In Classroom

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's baseball team continued its excellence in the classroom during the spring 2020 semester.
The Cowboy baseball student-athletes turned in a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the ninth time in the last 12 semesters. Every player on the team made the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, earning a 3.0 GPA or better.
Seven Cowboys earned a spot on the OSU President's Honor Roll, achieving a 4.0 GPA in at least 12 hours of course work, while eight others made the OSU Dean's Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5 or better in at least 12 hours.
The Cowboys had three student-athletes celebrate earning their degrees — Ben Leeper (sports management, minor in marketing), Jacob Ruder (finance, minor in energy finance) and Ryan Van Leeuwen (finance, minors in accounting and management).
OSU set a program record with 10 Academic All-Big 12 First Team selections in 2020 and had 14 overall Academic All-Big 12 honorees. Additionally, senior outfielder Carson McCusker was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Team.
