Date Set for Dieringer vs. Dake Final X Match

STILLWATER – The location and time for Alex Dieringer's Final X wrestle-off with Kyle Dake for the 79-kilogram freestyle World Team spot was determined this week, as the best-of-three series will take place at Round Rock High School near Austin, Texas, on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m.
The winner of the series will be the United States' representative at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan in September. The 79 kilogram contest begins Sept. 21 and concludes the following day.
FloWrestling will broadcast the wrestle-off between 2019 World Team Trials champion Dieringer and 2018 World champ Dake. Spectators are welcome, and fans can purchase tickets at the door for $10 (adults) and $5 (children).
The wrestle-off was originally slated for June 8, but was postponed per Dake's request due to injury. Dieringer qualified for Final X with his World Team Trials victory in Raleigh, N.C., back in May.
The former Cowboy looks to qualify for his first Senior World Team spot at the event.
