Cowboy Baseball 11th In Final Rankings

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State is ranked No. 11 in the final 2019 national rankings, earning that spot in five different polls.

In the final postseason rankings, OSU was tabbed No. 11 by D1Baseball.com, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball and also occupied that spot in the USA Today coaches and NCBWA polls. The Cowboys were ranked 12th by Perfect Game.

OSU finished with the season with a 41-20 record and was one win shy of advancing to the College World Series as the Cowboys fell in the decisive game of the NCAA Lubbock Super Regional to Texas Tech. Head coach Josh Holliday's ballclub captured a Big 12 Conference Championship title and also won the NCAA Oklahoma City Regional.

OSU's No. 11 ranking marked the highest finish for the Cowboys since the 2016 team finished fourth following their trip to the College World Series. The Pokes have been ranked in the final polls in five of their seven seasons under Holliday — 19th in 2013, 10th in 2014, 17th in 2015, 4th in 2016 and 11th in 2019.
