McCusker Earns Academic All-District Honors

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State outfielder Carson McCusker has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 Baseball First Team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom; first-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot. NCAA Division I District 7 is one of eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada and includes programs from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
McCusker, a junior for the Cowboys, is Oklahoma State's first Academic All-District First Team honoree since Gage Green in 2014.
A native of Sparks, Nev., McCusker carries a 3.76 grade point average in psychology and is the Cowboys' top hitter in 2019 with a .328 batting average. He has played in 35 games this season and posted four home runs, 14 doubles, three triples and 30 RBIs, and he ranks in the top 10 in the Big 12 Conference in four offensive categories.
