Five Cowboys Named To Academic All-Big 12 Squad

IRVING, Texas — Five members of the Oklahoma State men's golf team were honored for their work in the classroom this week with the announcement of the Academic All-Big 12 Golf Team by the league office.
Senior Hayden Wood, a finance and marketing major, was joined on the first team by sophomores Austin Eckroat and Matthew Wolff. Eckroat is a general business major, while Wolff is pursuing a sports management degree.
Members of the first team must carry a grade point average of 3.20 or higher.
Senior Zach Bauchou, a university studies/education major, was named to the second team along with junior Viktor Hovland, a general business major.
Bauchou and Wood were honored for the third time in their careers, while Hovland was named to the squad for the second time.
To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20 percent of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
