Cowboys Third Heading Into Final Round At Big 12 Championship

TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team posted a 284 during its third round at the Big 12 Championship on Tuesday to stand in a tie for third place at Southern Hills Country Club.
OSU's 4-over score put them at 858, 18-over par, and knotted with Texas at the par-70, 6,968-yard layout. Oklahoma posted a 281 during its third round to move into first place at 852, while Iowa State dipped into second place at 854 after carding a 285 total.
Texas' Doug Ghim and OU's Grant Hirschmann finished the day tied for first in the individual race at even-par 210 after carding rounds of 70 and 68, respectively.
OSU sophomore Viktor Hovland finished the day tied for fourth place and just two shots behind the leaders at 212 after posting a 73.
Senior Kristoffer Ventura maintained his position, standing in a tie for eighth place at 214 after posting a 1-over 71.
Freshman Matthew Wolff continued his move up the board, rising three spots into a tie for 11th place at 215 after signing for a 70.
Junior Zach Bauchou posted his low round of the event, an even-par 70, to jump 10 spots into a tie for 21st place at 218.
Senior Sam Stevens' 73 tied him for 33rd place at 221.
The Cowboys will begin their final round at 8:45 a.m. and will be paired with Texas.
