Cowboys Look To Repeat In Cabo

SAN JOSE DEL CABO, Mexico – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will be looking for a repeat performance at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate when play gets underway at this year's event on Sunday at Querencia Golf Club.
The Cowboys won the event by 10 shots last year, posting a 29-under-par total of 823. A pair of Cowboys, senior Kristoffer Ventura and junior Zach Bauchou, were among the group to finish at 8-under 205 and tied for second place to lead the way for OSU.
This year's event will feature a 15-team field and will consist of 54 holes. Play will get underway on Sunday at the par-72, 6,928-yard layout with 18 holes being contested each day through Tuesday.
The top-ranked Cowboys have won three consecutive events and four of their five starts on the year after emerging victorious at The Prestige at PGA West last month.
OSU's starting lineup in Mexico will consist of sophomore Viktor Hovland, Bauchou, freshman Matthew Wolff, Ventura and freshman Austin Eckroat, who is coming off a final-round 64 and his first collegiate victory at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
Four Cowboys are currently ranked inside the top 30 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Ranking. Bauchou checks in at No. 5, while Wolff cracks to top 20 at No. 18. Hovland is No. 32 and Ventura is No. 37.
