Oklahoma State swept its two-game weekend series with Marist to improve to 4-1 on the season. Originally a three-game series, Friday's game was cancelled due to rain. This week, OSU is scheduled to host Little Rock on Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling to Phoenix, Arizona, for a weekend series against Arizona State.

- With Saturday's win over Marist, OSU improved to 6-0 in home openers under head coach Josh Holliday.
- Senior Andrew Rosa continued his hot start to the season and now owns a .545 batting average and has scored a team-high six runs.
- Jonathan Heasley picked up his second win of the season against Marist and recorded a career high in strikeouts for the second-straight week with nine punchouts against the Red Foxes. The sophomore righty is 2-0 with 2.31 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings in his two starts.
- Both games against Marist presented save situations for Carson Teel, who pitched 2 1/3 perfect innings to boost his save total to three.
- Reza Aleaziz kept his ERA at 0.00 over the weekend, appearing in both games against the Red Foxes and tossing 1 1/3 innings.
- Ben Leeper notched his first career win as a Cowboy on Sunday as the sophomore worked two shutout innings in relief.
- Third baseman Matt Kroon had a memorable first game at Reynolds Stadium as he went 2-for-2 with three RBIs in his first home game, which included a home run in the fifth inning. On the weekend, the junior was 3-for-6 at the plate with four RBIs.

- Aleaziz is tied with three others for the Big 12 lead with a 0.00 ERA (leaders based on pitchers who have a minimum 1.0 inning pitched per team game). The Cowboy right-hander has tossed 5 2/3 innings and allowed only one unearned run.
- Teel is tied with Baylor All-American Troy Montemayor and Kansas' Zack Leban for the conference lead in saves with three, a total that is also tied for fifth nationally. The junior southpaw has notched a save in each of OSU's last three games.
- Heasley is one of seven pitchers whose two wins is tied for the league lead, and he is also tied for second in strikeouts with 15.
- Colin Simpson ranks sixth in the conference in RBIs (8) and seventh in slugging percentage (.800).

- OSU is scheduled to host Little Rock for a two-game midweek series on Tuesday and Wednesday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. Both games are set for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
- The Cowboys have dominated Little Rock in the past and have an all-time record of 43-2 against the Trojans, including a 1-0 mark under Holliday; the Cowboys defeated the Trojans, 7-6, in Stillwater during the 2014 season in their last meeting.
