Cowboys Back In Action At Big 12 Match Play

HOCKLEY, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will resume its fall slate this weekend when it begins play at the Big 12 Match Play Championship at Houston Oaks.
The event will get underway on Friday morning and will conclude on Sunday at the par-71, 7,007-yard layout.
Using the squads' combined Golfweek/Sagarin and Golfstat rankings entering the event, the teams were seeded 1-10 and entered into two pools. During pool play, each team will play four matches with three points being awarded for a win and one for a draw.
At the conclusion of pool play, each team will be ranked 1-5 within their pool based on points accrued. The first session will begin at 8 a.m. and the second session at 1:30 p.m. each day.
The championship match will feature the team with the highest point total from Pool A and the team with the highest total from Pool B.
The top-seeded Cowboys will be joined in Pool A by No. 4 Kansas, No. 5 TCU, No. 8 Texas Tech and No. 9 West Virginia.
Seven Cowboys made the trip with seniors Zach Bauchou and Hayden Wood, junior Viktor Hovland, sophomores Austin Eckroat and Matthew Wolff as well as freshmen Aman Gupta and Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen all potentially seeing action.
