On Piccininni and Rogers:
"Nick had someone he felt he could dominate and did what was expected of him. He picked up a couple four-point near falls in the first period. That four-point near fall has really changed the game a lot. It probably has helped us in a lot of ways, but it has also hurt us. I think it has been good that it changed to four points. It creates a lot more action. I think people get just a little bit more of a sense of urgency, if they do get turned, to get back in the match. You have your senior there, Dean Heil, getting upset again. It's just a matter of focusing on outcomes. He's just focusing on the outcome of the matches right now and not really looking at his performance and until that changes, we might get a lot of the same. But overall, I thought we gutted through a few of those matches. At 149 it was good to see (Boo Lewallen) pick up the win. Jonce (Blaylock) picking up a win and of course replacing Jacobe Smith with Hestin (Lamons) today, moving up a weight class and getting a win, those are things you sure like to see. (Andrew) Marsden's first outing was pretty good effort with an 11-8 win."
On Marsden's performance:
"Scoring points, 11 points. Yeah, I like it. I thought that he gave up his legs pretty easy in about two or three shots and the guy got to his legs and took him down, but I like the other side of it of scoring 11 points. You score 11 points at 184 you're going to win a lot of matches, so that was positive for him. I think we are still struggling a little bit, this weekend. Wwhen the matches got a little bit tough we wrestled to win by one, to try to win it on the scoreboard. Focusing too much on the outcome rather than the performance. That's one thing we need to take to the room this week is focusing on our performance rather than the outcome."
On Dean Heil:
"That kid has wrestled pretty tough. He's beaten a couple of good kids and wrestled well as of late. It's tough. Doesn't always roll your way. He has won a lot of tight matches. Just got to get back to that and focus on his performance rather than the outcome and I think he will find himself back where he wants to be. And if he doesn't do that then that's not going to happen."
Chandler Rogers – RJr., 165 pounds
On how he wrestled today:
"Yeah, I'm just trying to have fun and get back to the way things were. I kind of got in a funk for a while so I'm just trying to go out and be aggressive."
On his dominant return to the lineup:
"Absolutely. I wish I could have some guys who are ranked to really test it, but that'll do for now."
On bouncing back after losing to Missouri on Saturday:
"I think we did a good job as a team bouncing back. We didn't wrestle very well yesterday but even with that you got guys who could've won their matches, could've not lost by a whole lot, and just like that we're back in the match. Even with us not wrestling very well, we still were able to go out and put up a really good fight…Coach always tell us you have to be able to win matches when you're not feeling good or don't look your best."
On Hestin Lamons…
"I really like Hestin. Hestin's a cool guy… We just love seeing guys who work hard, go out and have success. I like seeing him wrestle."
On having their eyes on the prize in March:
"Absolutely. I think that we're hitting our sweet spot right now. Guys are starting to figure things out and things are starting to progress in the right way… I think by the time the NCAA's come, we'll be ready.
