Cowboys Move Up In Several Rankings

OSU ranked as high as No. 11 nationally
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State baseball fell out of the top 10 in the national polls this week, but the Cowboys moved up in the rankings of several outlets.
The Cowboys claimed three wins over ranked teams last week, including a road series win over No. 18 Texas Tech and a midweek triumph against 15th-raned Dallas Baptist.
OSU's highest ranking is from Collegiate Baseball, which has head coach Josh Holliday's ballclub No. 11 in its poll. The Cowboys had been ranked in the top 10 (No. 9 twice and No. 10) the previous three weeks by that newspaper.
OSU is also ranked in five other polls this week and moved up in each of those. The Cowboys made the biggest jump in the Baseball America poll, where they went from No. 17 to No. 12. The Pokes are also ranked 12th by D1Baseball.com.
The Cowboys are ranked 13th in a pair of polls -- the NCBWA and USA Today Coaches -- and also occupy the No. 16 spot in the Perfect Game rankings.
Dating back to 2013, OSU has been nationally ranked for 44 consecutive weeks. The Cowboys were ranked as high as No. 5 (by Collegiate Baseball) in the 2015 preseason polls.
OSU is one of four Big 12 Conference teams, along with TCU, Oklahoma and Texas Tech, in the national rankings this week, and is the second-highest ranked of those teams behind the Horned Frogs.Holliday's Cowboys are 29-14 overall entering this weekend's Bedlam Series against Oklahoma. OSU also sits atop the Big 12 Conference standings with a 12-6 league mark.
