Someone recently asked me who I think has lots of potential to get people pumped about golf. I said @Morgan_Hoffmann. Nice 66 today, Morgan!

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Former Oklahoma State All-American Morgan Hoffmann fired a closing 66 on Sunday at the U.S. Open Championship to tie for 27th place at Chambers Bay.
Hoffmann's 4-under day gave him a 5-over total of 285 and his best career finish in four starts at the event. His previous best finish was a tie for 29th in 2012 and his previous low U.S. Open round was a 70 that same year.
After countering bogeys at the second and sixth with birdies at the fourth and eighth, Hoffmann turned at even-par 35. He lit up the back nine with a bogey-free 31 that included birdies at the 12th, 13th, 17th and 18th.
Hoffmann was one of five Cowboys in action this weekend with Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Alex Norén and Bo Van Pelt all appearing in the field.
