Jon Perrin earned All-Big 12 First Team honors in 2014 after going 8-5 with a 2.38 ERA in 21 appearances. The senior from Olathe, Kan., ranked in the top 10 in the Big 12 in wins, strikeouts, shutouts, innings pitched and complete games.
• Do you have any baseball superstitions?
I write my sister's name (Jen) on the back of the mound before every game.
• Any significance to your jersey number?
My favorite pitcher growing up was Andy Pettitte so I wear number 46.
• Toughest hitter you ever faced?
Mark Payton from Texas. I think he went 2-for-2 with four walks when I pitched against him.
• Best part of playing baseball at Oklahoma State?
Getting to travel and see different parts of the country, going to places like California and Arizona and all over Texas.
• What is your favorite baseball movie?
Bull Durham
• One word to describe Josh Holliday.
Passionate
• Which of your teammates is most likely to end up on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays?
Me. I was already on there! (turning a triple play in NCAA Regional last season)
• What actor would you pick to play you in a movie and why?
James Franco. He's funny, a goofy guy - I think he'd play a good me.
• Who is your celebrity crush?
Emma Stone. I love redheads.
• What is the one talent you'd most like to have?
I wish I could play guitar like my brother. My brother is amazing at guitar.
• If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?
Prague, Czech Republic. It's where my grandparents are from and a lot of my family still lives there.
• Who is your favorite athlete to watch in another sport?
Muhammad Ali. I love boxing and fighting and watching his reruns on ESPN Classic is always fun.
• One word to describe you.
Goofy
• If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
LeBron James. It'd be fun to be the best athlete in the world for a day.
• Who is the most played musician in your iPod?
Right now, it's Led Zeppelin.
• If your house/apartment was on fire and you only had time to save one possession, what would it be and why?
My stuffed bunny that I've had since I was six months old.
• What is a TV show you watch but are embarrassed to admit?
Grey's Anatomy
• If you could have dinner with any three people (living or dead), who would they be? What would be served?
Jesus, Buddha and Muhammad. I don't care what we'd eat; I wouldn't want to eat. I'd just want to talk to them and see what they're actually about.
• People would be surprised to know that I... read a lot.
• What are three things on your bucket list?
I want to skydive, I want to go to space and I want to shoot a gun - I've never shot a gun before.
