Cowboys Open Spring Slate In Hawaii

KONA, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will get its spring slate underway on Thursday at the 24th annual Amer Ari Invitational in Hawaii.

The 54-hole event will take place at the Waikoloa Kings' Course, a par-72, 7,074-yard layout with 18 holes being played each day from Thursday through Saturday. The third-ranked Cowboys, who finished ninth at the event last year, will be one of 20 teams in the field.

OSU's starting five will consist of seniors Ian Davis, Kevin Dougherty and Talor Gooch as well as sophomore Jordan Niebrugge and redshirt freshman Wyndham Clark.

The Cowboys bring a two-event winning streak into their spring slate after capturing titles at the U.S. Collegiate Championship and the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate to close out the fall. Dougherty produced OSU's first individual title of the fall in the season finale at Royal Oaks as well.
