Oklahoma State will be the No. 2 seed in this week's Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship in Oklahoma City. The Cowboys will open tournament play Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against seventh-seeded TCU at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
The 2013 Big 12 Baseball Championship field consists of two divisions that will each play in a double-elimation format, with the winners of each division squaring off in a championship game Sunday at 1 p.m. Division 1 includes top-seeded Kansas State, fourth-seeded Oklahoma, fifth-seeded Baylor and eighth-seeded Texas Tech. Joining OSU and TCU in Division 2 are No. 3-seed West Virginia and No. 6-seed Kansas.
Every game of the Big 12 Championship will be televised live by the FOX Sports Media Group. All games leading up to Sunday's title game will air on FOX College Sports (FCS), while the championship final is on FSN.
OSU is 13-27 all time at the Big 12 Baseball Championship and has lost its last four games in the tourney. The Cowboys' lone Big 12 tourney title came in 2004.
