Morgan Hoffmann Named Golfer Of The Month

IRVING, Texas - Oklahoma State's Morgan Hoffmann has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for March it was announced today by the league office.

The honor was the first for the Cowboy junior this season and marks the third time during his career he has received the distinction.

Hoffmann fired a 10-under-par 206 to earn his first win of the year at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters. The win was the fourth of his career and first since winning the 2009 Big 12 Championship. He was named the national player of the week by Golfweek and GolfWorld following the victory.

The Wyckoff, N.J., native closed out the month at the Oregon Duck Invitational with a final-round 68 to finish at 2-under 214. The two-time All American placed 12th giving him his sixth top-15 finish in nine starts on the year.

Currently ranked 15th in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index, Hoffmann helped OSU to team victories in both events.
