Cowboy Duo Earns All-Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State had a pair of players named to the 2010 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Baseball Team, it was announced by the league today.
Cowboy second baseman Davis Duren was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, while catcher Kevin David earned honorable mention honors for the second-straight year.
Duren had a breakout junior season for the Cowboys. The Tulsa, Okla. native led OSU in hitting with a .383 batting average to go along with six home runs and 55 RBIs. He also topped the Pokes and led the Big 12 with 29 stolen bases. In conference play, Duren led OSU with a .373 average and 17 RBIs.
From his leadoff spot in the order, Duren led OSU in hits (88) and runs (46) and ranked second on the squad in RBIs (55), doubles (17) and total bases (125).
Duren also ranked the top 10 in the Big 12 in six categories: batting average, hits, stolen bases, doubles, RBIs and total bases.
David, also a junior, started all but one game for the Cowboys this season and hit .279 with six homers and 40 RBIs. He led OSU and ranked sixth in the Big 12 with 18 doubles. He was also 12-for-12 on stolen base attempts.
One of the top defensive catchers in the league, David threw out 27 percent of the runners who tried to steal against him.
