NCAA Tournament Returns To Stillwater

STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State¹s Allie P. Reynolds Stadium has been chosen as one of 16 host sites for a 2008 NCAA Baseball Tournament regional, it was announced Sunday by the NCAA's baseball committee.
The tournament will get underway with two games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day. The “if-necessary” game would take place 7 p.m. Monday.
The complete tournament bracket will be announced on Monday by the NCAA.
All-session tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased throughout the week. Single-game tickets can only be purchased on the day of the game. Those tickets are $10 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission seating (left field bleachers).
The OSU ticket office will be open on Memorial Day. Tickets can be purchased online at www.okstate.com or by calling 1-877-All-4-OSU (877-255-4678).
The 2008 regional will mark the first time OSU has hosted since 1997. The Cowboys have hosted nine previous regional tournaments at Reynolds Stadium. The facility opened in 1981 and has played host to 80 NCAA regional games.
Of the nine regionals hosted by the Cowboys at Reynolds Stadium, OSU has won six and finished second in the other three. The last regional championship OSU won on its home field came in 1993.
OSU is 42-16 on the season and ranked No. 6 nationally. The Cowboys are 26-4 on their home field this season and own a 719-148 (.829) mark in 26-plus seasons at Reynolds Stadium.
