AUSTIN, Texas  Oklahoma State scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning Saturday afternoon at UFCU Disch-Falk Field to defeat No. 15 Texas, 8-7, and claim its third-straight conference series win.
With one out in the ninth, a two-RBI single by pinch hitter Michael Dabbs tied the score, and Donnie Webb brought home the game-winning run with a single of his own as the 14th-ranked Cowboys improved to 10-7 in Big 12 Conference play and 26-11 overall.
In the bottom of the ninth, Cowboy closer Jordy Mercer retired the side in order to seal the win. Mercer struck out two of the three hitters he faced for his sixth save of the season. The save is also the 14th of his career, which moves him into a three-way tie for the most career saves in OSU history.
Robbie Weinhardt earned the win on the mound with one inning of work in relief of starter Tyler Lyons. Weinhardt pitched a scoreless eighth inning to improve to 2-0 on the season.

OSU took an early lead in its first at bat. Webb led off the game with a double, and after a groundout, he scored on a fielder's choice RBI off the bat of Matt Hague to make the score 1-0.
The Cowboys' were not done. With two on and two out, Medchill stepped to the plate and drilled a three-run home run to right-centerfield to put OSU up 4-0. The homer was Medchill's third of the season.
The scored remained tied until the fourth, when UT's Brandon Belt led off the bottom of the frame with a solo home run to right-centerfield. After loading the bases, the Longhorns tallied their sixth run on a wild pitch. This time,
