Belza Named National StatStud Of The Day

BOSTON — Oklahoma State freshman infielder Thomas Belza has been named the StatStud.com National StatStud of the Day, a honor give to the nation's top performer from the previous day.
In his first-career start for the Cowboys, Belza had a record setting day at the plate in OSU's 34-1 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff Wednesday. The Loveland, Ohio native, who entered the game with just one career at bat, was 6-for-6 with five RBIs and six runs. Three of his hits were doubles, and he also blasted his first-career home run.
Belza's six hits tied an OSU record for hits in a game, which was last set by Jimmy Barragan in 1986, and also tied the Big 12 Conference mark. And his six runs scored tied a school record last set by Herb Hardcastle in 1995.
StatStud.com is a statistical analysis website that strictly covers college sports. It has been named one of the most innovative new additions to college baseball by Collegiate Baseball Magazine.
