Cowboys Topple Top-Seeded Arkansas At Fayetteville Regional

With the win, the third-seeded Cowboys moved into the Regional finals and need just one win to advance to a Super Regional. OSU is now 40-19 on the season and will play on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of the Arkansas-Creighton elimination game, which is Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Tyler Mach was one of several hitting heroes for the Cowboys against
Mach was one of four Cowboys with two hits, while Keanon Simon led the hit parade with a 3-for-5 effort.
OSU fell behind in the top of the first inning on a single by Casey Coon that made the score 1-0.
But the Razorbacks' lead did not last long as OSU tied the score in the bottom of the inning on an RBI groundout by Ty Wright.
The Cowboys would take the lead for good in the second inning of
OSU led 4-1 going into the bottom of the fourth when a four-run rally really put the Cowboys in control. The Pokes loaded the bases with one out, and Mach blasted a grand slam to dead center field. The shot was Mach's 16th homer of the season.
In the seventh, Simon, Mach and Matt Mangini each collected RBI hits, while Corey Brown drew an RBI walk and Wright drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Justin Friend picked up the win for the Cowboys with five scoreless innings of relief work. The junior right hander allowed just four hits and improved to 6-3 on the season.
Wright was 0-for-1, ending his hitting streak at 35 games, but he drove in a pair of runs and scored twice.
