LUBBOCK, Texas  Oliver Odle and Justin Friend combined for a seven-hit shutout as Oklahoma State clinched its series against Texas Tech with a 7-0 win Saturday at Dan Law Field.
Odle was dominant for eight innings as the senior right hander struck out six and allowed just one walk to improve to 6-4 on the season. Odle threw 119 pitches, 82 of them for strikes, in the winning effort.
Friend worked the final inning as 15th-ranked OSU picked up its third shutout of the season to improve to 36-13 overall and 15-8 in Big 12 Conference play. With the win and Missouri's loss to Oklahoma on Saturday, the Cowboys moved into a tie with Mizzou for second place in the league standings.
Tyler Mach paced the Cowboys at the plate on Saturday with a pair of home runs and five RBIs, while Matt Mangini was 3-for-5.
Ty Wright also singled in his first at bat to extend his hitting streak to 26 games, the second-longest streak in OSU history. Robin Ventura holds the school and NCAA record with a 58-game streak in 1987.

OSU added its second run in the sixth. Mangini again led things off with a single, and a single by Jordy Mercer put Cowboys on first and third with one out. Kendall Horner then reached on a fielder's choice to bring home Mangini for a 2-0 OSU lead.
The Cowboys cushioned their lead in the seventh when Mach blasted a two-run home run over the left-center field wall to make the score 4-0. It was Mach's 12th round tripper of the season.
Mach added his 13th homer in the ninth, a three-run shot over the wall in left field.
