The Cowboys have won six-straight games after a 19-1 victory at Texas-Arlington on Tuesday in which they had a season-high 21 hits. OSU is hitting a Big 12 Conference-best .347, and six Cowboy regulars are hitting .338 or better. The Cowboy pitching staff has a collective 3.27 ERA and has allowed just 13 earned runs in their last six games. This weekend's series against Pepperdine marks the first time OSU has faced a ranked opponent this season.
Pepperdine
The Waves are 14-4 and are coming off a 13-12 win at UC-Santa Barbara on Tuesday that marked their third consecutive victory. Pepperdine has wins over USC, Wichita State (2) and North Carolina State this season, but the Waves are just 2-3 on the road in 2007. Pepperdine sports a .294 team ERA, and the Waves are hitting a collective .330.
The Coaches
OSU's Frank Anderson is 124-72 in his fourth season with the Cowboys.
The Waves are led by Steve Rodriguez, who in four seasons at Pepperdine is 127-80.

OSU's highest ranking is No. 16 by Baseball America. The Cowboys are also ranked 20th by the NCBWA and 24th in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll. Pepperdine is ranked as high as 10th by the NCBWA and in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll. The Waves are ranked 12th by Collegiate Baseball and 13th by Baseball America.

Aluminum Assault
Frank Anderson called his 2006 squad the best offensive team he's had since arriving in Stillwater, but the Cowboys might be even better in 2007.
In '06, OSU led the Big 12 in extra base hits, including topping the conference in home runs, triples and slugging percentage. OSU also ranked second in team batting average (.316) and runs (443), and seven different Cowboys batted at least .300.
In addition, OSU had three players — Tyler Mach, Deik Scram and Corey Brown — among the top 20 in the league in batting average.
OSU also averaged 7.3 runs and 11.2 hits per game. The Cowboys scored 10 or more runs 17 times and had 16 games where they racked up at least 15 hits.
The Cowboys are continuing that type of production at the plate in 2007. OSU leads the Big 12 in batting average (.347) and slugging percentage (.559) and has four players — Tyler Mach, Matt Mangini Corey Brown and Keanon Simon — among the top 15 hitters in the league.
OSU is averaging 9.4 runs and 12.9 hits per contest in '07. The Cowboys have had at least 10 hits in all but two games this season, with a season high of 21 vs. Texas-Arlington.
Home Sweet Home
Allie P. Reynolds Stadium has been home to Oklahoma State baseball since 1981, and in those 26 seasons the Cowboys have proven to be nearly unbeatable on their home field.
OSU is 4-0 at home this season and 678-135 (.834) all-time at Reynolds Stadium, and the Cowboys have never lost more than two consecutive games on their home turf. The Cowboys were 28-4 at home in 2006, which marked their best home record since they went 21-3 in 1999.
