Odle Named Big 12 Conference Pitcher Of The Week

Oklahoma State continued its streak of Big 12 Conference weekly honors after its opening weekend of play in 2007 as Oliver Odle was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Odle, a senior right hander from Pryor, Okla., dominated McNeese State in OSU's 7-0 win last Saturday. He tossed seven scoreless innings, striking out a career-high 10 along the way and allowing just four hits. He struck out five of the first six batters he faced to tie his previous career high in strikeouts after just two innings and did not walk a batter in the contest.

Dating back to the 2006 season, OSU has had either the conference's player or pitcher of the week for seven consecutive weeks. It is the first Big 12 weekly award of Odle's career.
