The Cowboys are coming off a 41-20 campaign in 2006 in which they were a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in more than a decade. OSU also finished second in the Big 12 Conference regular-season standings, the program's highest-ever finish in the Big 12. Six starters return from a year ago, as well as three pitchers who won at least five games.
Hofstra
Hofstra finished with a 24-31-1 mark in 2006. The Pride returns five starters and 13 pitchers from that '06 club.

The Cowboys have never faced Hofstra on the baseball diamond.

Frank Anderson enters his fourth season at OSU with a record of 113-69 (.621). Hofstra coach Chris Dotolo is 86-174-1 (.331) in six seasons with the Pride.
