Three Former Cowboys Earn PGA Tour Cards

Three former Oklahoma State golfers were among the 40 players who earned their PGA Tour cards at the PGA Tour National Qualifying Tournament on Monday.
Michael Bradley, Bob May and Chris Tidland were among those that survived the six-round event and earned playing privileges for the upcoming season.
Tidland last played the Tour in 2001 and has spent the last five years as a member of the Nationwide Tour. The Placentia, Calif. native tied for 25th place after carding a 423 total of 9-under par.
A two-time first-team All-American, Tidland was the 1993 Big Eight Player of the Year and helped the Cowboys to the 1995 NCAA title where he finished as the runner-up in the individual race.
May has three career runner-up finishes on Tour to his credit, including his memorable performance at the 2000 PGA Championship where he lost a playoff to Tiger Woods. The La Habra, Calif. native posted a 424 total to finish tied for 29th place.
A two-time All-America selection for the Cowboys, May was a member of OSU's 1991 national championship squad.
Bradley was also among those tied for 29th place at 8-under 424. The Valrico, Fla. native owns two victories on Tour, claiming the 1996 Buick Challenge and the 1998 Doral-Ryder Open.
Bradley helped OSU claim the NCAA title in 1987 and finished his collegiate career as a two-time first-team All-American and was the 1987 Big Eight champion.
The top 30 and ties earned their cards with the total number of players qualifying being 40 after 12 players tied for 29th place.
