Mike McGraw Named U.S. Palmer Cup Coach

McGraw, who is in his second year as the Cowboys' head coach, is coming off a banner season that saw him lead OSU to five tournament victories and its 10th national championship last June.
The 2006 Dave Williams Award winner as the national coach of the year, McGraw tutored Ping First-Team All-America selections Pablo Martin and Jonathan Moore, as well as Byron Nelson Award recipient Zack Robinson during his inaugural season.
Additionally, Martin was named winner of the Jack Nicklaus and Fred Haskins Awards as the collegiate player of the year and Moore received the Phil Mickelson Award as the nation's top freshman after winning the NCAA individual title.
In October, the Cowboys collected their first tournament title of the 2006-07 season, winning the Callaway Golf Collegiate Match Play Championship.
The Palmer Cup is an annual Ryder Cup-style competition between American collegiate golfers and their counterparts from Europe and will be contested this year at Caves Valley Golf Club.
