Texas Eliminates Oklahoma State With 6-1 Win

The Longhorns moved to 45-13 overall and will face Baylor in the semifinals tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. The Cowboys were eliminated from the tourney and fell to 34-25. The team will find out their NCAA tournament fate Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. as the selections will be announced live on ESPN.
UT starter Kenn Kasparek (6-0) allowed only one run on seven hits in six innings with two walks and three strikeouts. Ace reliever J. Brent Cox pitched three scoreless innings to record his 14th save of the year.
OSU starter (3-6) gave up six runs on 10 hits in eight innings of work. He struck out six and walked three in the losing effort.
The Pokes took a 1-0 lead in the second when doubled to lead off the inning and eventually scored on a groundout by Keanon Simon.
UT scored four runs in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. Designated hitter had a RBI single to left to tie the game and shortstop Seth Johnston delivered a two-run single to right with the bases loaded to lead the rally.
Robby Hudson, Drew Stubbs and Clay Van Hook led the Longhorns with two hits each, while and Ty Wright led the Cowboys with two hits on the day.
