Play suspended at NCAA Men's Golf Central Regional

The first round of the NCAA Men's Golf Central Regional was suspended Thursday evening due to darkness with 12 teams still on the course. The round was delayed three hours in the morning due to thunderstorms in the area and the resulting setback caused the postponement of play until tomorrow morning.

Teams will return at 6:45 a.m. (EST/CDT) Friday for a shotgun re-start to finish up round one before the second round starts on time.

Oklahoma State, which is currently in second place and two shots behind Tulsa, had just one of its five players fail to complete his round as freshman Pablo Martin was called off the course before finishing the 18th hole. The Malaga, Spain, native currently holds the individual lead at 4 under par.

Sophomore Ryan Posey and junior Zack Robinson each posted 2-over 72s on the day and are tied for 28th place.

Senior Alex NorÃ©n carded an opening round of 73 to stand in a tie for 51st place, while sophomore Tyler Leon is tied for 71st place after a 74.
