Texas Tech Holds Off Oklahoma State 12-8

The Red Raiders evened the series at 1-1 and improved to 21-11 overall and 4-6 in Big 12 play. OSU fell to 24-12 on the season and 5-6 in league action.
led off the game with a homer to leftfield to give the Cowboys an early 1-0 lead.
The Red Raiders then exploded for seven runs on nine consecutive two-out base hits in the bottom of the first and knocked OSU starter out of the contest. Trey Stewart, Joey Callender, Chris Williams, Madison Edwards, Cooper Fouts, Cody Fuller and Carey Avants all notched RBI singles in the frame.
The Pokes scored three runs in the second on a RBI double by and a two-run single by to cut the lead to 7-4.
