Cowboy Baseball Sweeps Twinbill Over Arkansas-Pine Bluff

led the onslaught with five homers and 13 RBIs on the day as the Cowboys improved to 23-11 on the season.
The Lions lost all five meetings to OSU this season and fell to 9-29 on the year.
The Pokes scored early and often in game one with four runs in the first, three in the second, seven in the third and six in the fourth. Carr finished the game with three homers in five plate appearances with eight RBIs. added a grand-slam, his seventh round tripper of the year, while also joined the barrage with his first homer of the year.
(6-2) allowed a two-run homer in the second, but settled down and did not allow a run in his final four innings. He gave up just four hits while striking out nine in six innings of work. finished out the game with a scoreless ninth.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff took a 1-0 first inning lead in the nightcap on a RBI single by Aaron Wright, but it did not last as
OSU added five runs in the third and completely blew the game open with a 10-run fifth. They would score six more runs in the sixth to close out the scoring. The Pokes hit eight homers in the game with and leading the way with two each. was 2-for-4 with a homer, triple and seven RBIs, while Ty Wright, , and each chipped in with a home run.
Starter allowed four runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and two walks before being relieved in the fifth. (1-0) pitched two innings of perfect relief to pick up his first win of the year. closed out the game with a scoreless ninth.
Both games of the twinbill were called in the seventh inning due to the 10-run rule.
